Dream Home : Downshire Road House by Mim Design

Fascinating Beachside Residence in Australia

Here is a beachside residence with a fascinating architecture from Studio101 Architects. Located in Point Lonsdale, Australia, this beautiful home was especially designed for a young family and makes the most of its coastal surroundings, offering the owners amazing living conditions. Here is more information regarding the project’s structure from the architects: “The rectilinear nature of the site and natural typography encouraged a simple yet highly efficient floor plan incorporating three pavilions linked by a continuous circulation spine.  The eastern pavilion houses the sleeping and bathing zones while the living zones are orientated to the north. The primary living space contains the kitchen/dining/living and floats above a masonry podium, cranking towards true north to maximize sun exposure and frame the elevated treed outlook.”  And if this home’s architecture and charming interiors are sometimes too much to take, the central yard makes for a great place to get away, relax and take some fresh air.
